October Farm Riverfront

Free. Membership event. Family-friendly. Registration is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Register here.

The trails we will walk are mostly flat, although we will venture off trail where the ground may be uneven and sloped. The walk is about 0.7 miles.

Parking and meeting directions will be provided to confirmed registrants.

This event will occur rain or shine. However, in the case of inclement weather, registered participants should call the Land Trust office at (978) 369-6526 by 2:00 pm on the day of the event for an update.

Dress for weather conditions and wear sturdy footwear. Applying insect/tick repellent is recommended; sun protection is at the participant’s discretion (we’ll be mostly in shade). Bring binoculars, if you also want to look at birds.

Note that there are no bathroom facilities at any of the Land Trust’s properties.

About the Program
Zoo New England will offer an up-close look at Blanding’s turtles in their native habitat, including the release of a headstarted turtle! They’ll discuss threats to their survival, ongoing recovery efforts, and how the area supports their expanding habitat and long-term success.
