Annual Winter Walk in the Wright Woods
Event Details
Enjoy the shelter of towering white pines and the placid water of Fairhaven Bay in winter. Guided by trustees, groups will journey from Arena Terrace through the Wright Woods, pausing for a campfire and refreshments at the Fairhaven Overlook midway before completing a loop. The outing is expected to last approximately 2 hours.

THE WINTER EXCURSION IS OCCURRING AS SCHEDULED. Bring skis, snowshoes, or winter boots. If walking, use microspikes or grippy winter boots, as ice remains beneath the snow.
This event will still occur if there is light rain or snow. In the case of inclement weather, please call the office at (978) 369-6526 by 12:00 pm on Sunday, 2/9 for an update.
Dress for weather conditions, including bringing snowshoes, skis or boots — depending on personal preference. Microspikes are recommended in icy conditions.
Park along Arena Terrace off Fairhaven Road. This is accessible only from the eastbound lanes of Route 2 and is about one third mile past the Sudbury Road intersection. Meet at the kiosk located at the trailhead into Wright Woods. If you will need assistance getting down to the Fairhaven Overlook, please contact the office ahead of the event at 978-369-6526 so we can make arrangements for transportation.
Note: There are no restroom facilities on site.
